EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme)

EMAS is the acronym for Eco Management and Audit Scheme, which is also known under the names EU-Eco-Audit or Eco-Audit. EMAS was developed by the European Union and is a system that combines environmental management and environmental company audits for organizations who want to improve their environmental performance.

The EMAS Act (Eco-Audit-Act) assigns a critical role to the levels of accountability in businesses in the management of their direct and indirect environmental footprints. As early as 1998, Evers-Druck disclosed the ecological situation of the company, which depicted both, its achievements to date and its plans for the future. Its voluntary participation in Act (EC) 1836/93 promotes the company's own ecological activities on the one hand and on the other hand integrates its employees and suppliers into all of the related processes.

The application of the operational environmental management system EMAS demonstrates our commitment to self-accountable action. Having been validated by an independent auditor and being in possession of all-encompassing environmental audit certificates and publishing our periodic environmental declarations, we evidence that we are actively engaged in the responsible protection of the environment to government agencies, the public and all of our employees.
